Business Monitoring: Display the actual endpoints under Services tab instead of showing the JVM under Top Services

See this idea on ideas.ibm.com

In IBM Business Automation Workflow, we usually create business workflows/processes at the top level. A workflow contains human, system activities and gateways.

  • A human activity usually contains Script blocks to execute code, service flows for system integrations and also user interface for the end users
  • Similarly system activity contains Script blocks to execute code, service flows for system integrations

In the current state, Instana discovers the business workflows/processes and the human/system activities and reports them under business monitoring. However, as we proceed to Activities, we only see the AppCluster JVMs listed under the "Top Services" tab. This is not really helpful when trying to figure out BAW process application/ business workflow issues.

Ideally, we would expect to see the endpoints (like script blocks, REST or Web service calls) that are being called in the Human/System activities instead of the JVM service name. This would make Instana a robust tool to monitor the performance of end to end business workflow lifecycle.
