This is an IBM Automation portal for Cloud Management, Technology Cost Management, Network Automation and AIOps products. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

Extension to allow defining macros in custom event names based on "Triggering entity" data. e.g., Queue {{entity.ibmmq.queue.name}} on queue manager {{entity.ibmmq.qm.name}} is almost full. Right now, I have to define multiple custom events that do the same thing but only have different names and are based on different filters.
Very similar to the idea INSTANA-I-2964.

We provide "placeholders" in the title of Smart Alerts and also plan to include more dynamic custom payloads support there. We're focusing on Smart Alert capabilities and thus don't plan to make updates to custom event functionality.
Please try Smart Alerts for Infrastructure to see if it would already be possible to cover all entities with a single configuration using either placeholders (when grouping by queue name) or custom payloads.
We're happy to understand more about what might be needed to transition to using Smart Alerts in the future.
Good idea!!
