Ability to download Instana agents in Air-gapped Self hosted Standard Edition (K3S)

As of v287, the agent download fails in the self-hosted air-gapped standard edition. The only way is to go to internet and pull the latest agents for Instana agent repository OR mirror the repository to local environment.

Given the access restrictions with downloading files from internet for some organizations,

  • Agent Download:
    • Can the Instana agents be bundled with air-gapped package so that we don't have to download agents from internet? "OR"
    • Can there be a way to download agents using stanctl similar to how we generate air gapped backend package?
  • Documentation:
    • Can the official Instana documentation be updated regarding how to download agents for self-hosted air-gapped standard edition and the process to follow?
