Hello John, yes somewhat like the filter, but including all infrastructure, not only once that have events. If we split all servers by tags (lets say by datacenters or racks) and fix them onto exact position on the map (to be able to monitor more pillars) and represent a toggle to map all available events to the pillars, that would be the ideal approach that will allow customer to remember what part of the map includes what (datacenter/rack) and quickly get understanding of what complex touched by discovered mulfanctions.
Can you elaborate a bit on how you might envision this?
For instance, If you put event.state:open as a filter on the infrastructure page, it will limit the display to those hosts which have active events.
Is this close to your idea?
