Monitoring custom log files in AIX

We are configuring Instana on a customer's core banking solution. Most of the services in this environment are deployed on AIX servers. We noticed that some very important process logs are not captured by Instana so we tried the Open telemetry only to find there is no official otel-contirb package for AIX. We are requesting a new methodology to add custom logs to be monitored using the Instana or maintain a instana supported otel-contrib package.

I am putting this idea to high priority as this is a core requirement of this customer and our other customers are also mainly using AIX operating system.

    Thank you for raising the request,

    Unfortunately We do not have any plans to collect custom logs by Instana, all future plans will depend on Opentelemetry collector because of the industry shift towards Opentelementry.
