Same limitation on my side, my JAVA batchs generate a lot of large trace without ability to analyze them.
I have tried to split batch execution in multiple trace with the Instana Java trace SDK with success but a lot of them are always considered AS a LARGE TRACES (even if trace subcalls number is less than 10K subcalls)
No workaround proposed by support team on Request #30107
