Continuously sending alerts (or expiring alerts) past a defined threshold to avoid overlooking.

We have encountered a critical operational challenge: When a single alert is triggered and then overlooked or ignored, there is currently no built-in capability within Instana to continuously resend or reissue that alert past a defined threshold or time period. This limitation increases the risk that important issues go unaddressed until they escalate into severe problems.

To improve the reliability of alert handling and incident response, we kindly request an enhancement for IBM Instana to support a feature for continuous alerting, which includes:

1.       The ability to configure a re-alert or repeat alert interval so that alerts can be resent at defined time periods if they remain unacknowledged or unresolved.

2.       Options to customize the frequency and conditions of repeated alerts, including escalation thresholds to avoid alert fatigue.

3.       Integration support for coupling this feature with existing incident management and escalation workflows.

This continuous alerting capability will significantly enhance operational visibility and ensure critical issues receive prompt attention, reducing the risk of downtime or degraded service due to overlooked alerts.
