The Instana SDK for EUM must support two methods to cope with security issue.

Our customer, "LG U Plus" has adopted Instana SaaS for EUM(End User Monitoring) this year, 2025.
Recently, there's a security issue when the customer's android mobile app deployed with instana sdk for EUM.

We, IBM present evidence that Instana sdk is nothing to do with the security issue warning 
"A harmful app monitoring personal information on Android OS has been detected and must be removed."

The customer is worrying about the evidence from IBM, which has the content of two dangerous permissions,
"ACCESS_SUPERUSER" and "READ_PHONE_STATE" used for old android devices.

In fact, there's no old android phone in LG U Plus because Telco provides mobile phone subsidy to all employees.
So, all employees have the latest phone so that LG U Plus wants more secure around Instana.

The customer is asking for the instana sdk excluding ACCESS_SUPERUSER and READ_PHONE_STATE for LG U Plus.

This means, IBM Instana provides two methods of EUM sdk.
One is for not old android OS version(better security) and the other is for old one which is only used by requesting from customer's needs.
