I am marking this idea as "Functionality Already Exists" as the individual components can be monitored. Expert labs, field teams, SWAT can work on identifying use cases from FTM and ODM teams and provide the appropriate observability solution with Instana.
You can try to engage the ODM team on collaborating with Instana to create these assets. They will know the observability use cases that Instana can solve. For example, support tickets might give an indication on availablility, performance issues that take time to solve. Collecting such use cases will be the first step to create value for both products.
Hi Sridhar, that is also my thought, I think making a set of assets for this use case would be very helpful.
Do you know who i should discuss that with?
Since most of the components of IBM Financial Transaction Manager (ACE, Liberty, DB2) are monitored by Instana can we engage IBM Expert Labs to set up the monitoring and create suitable best practices assets?
Additionally, it will be useful to get some data on number of FTM clients to check if there is a business case for Instana Product to invest in this area.
