We'd like to limit users with limited infrastructure scope can create custom events that may apply to entities withing their team's scope. Currently, there is no limitation at all

Custom events in Instana are governed by global permissions, meaning there is no granular RBAC control for this feature. As a result, users with limited infrastructure scope can create custom events that may apply to entities outside their team’s scope. It'd be great if the custom event can also implicitly apply the same infrastructure scope.

Custom events are being superseded by Infrastructure smart alerts. Infra Smart alerts will be getting a change next year where granular RBAC will be possible.
Today all infrastructure alerting is filter based (either DFQ or TagFilter expression) and would not prevent limited users to define a filter which would match entities outside of their access scope.
