Simplify and Improve the Usability of Instana Must-Gather System

 

There are too many links on the Instana MustGathers page, and Instana users do not know which page they should refer to.
I would like the system to be simpler—ideally, when a problem occurs, users should be able to run a single MustGather tool, similar to the oc adm must-gather command in OpenShift.
(I understand that something exists for K8s, but we also need a similar tool for hosts such as Linux, Windows, and AIX.)

Additionally, I would like to request the creation of a Must-Gather Client.

This would allow users to perform problem determination much faster when issues occur in Instana.

    Thank you for sharing this idea.

    We completely understand the need to simplify the MustGather process and make troubleshooting faster and easier.

    We’re currently working on a new MustGather tool that will streamline the experience by providing a single tool for gathering diagnostic data, similar to what you described. The goal is to reduce complexity and eliminate the need to navigate multiple links, so users can quickly collect the necessary information when issues occur.
