extract the complete Instana device inventory—including each device’s first reporting timestamp—export it to CSV directly from Instana, and share the file via email

We received requirement from client to extract the complete device inventory from Instana, including the date when each device first started reporting. The report should contain all monitored devices along with their initial reporting timestamp.

Additionally, we require the data to be exported in CSV format directly from Instana and shared over email.

    Hi Tejaswi,

    Thank you for sharing this requirement. We reviewed the request and noted that while Instana provides mechanisms to extract device inventory data through the API, as well as limited reporting functionality in the UI, the full capability to automatically generate and email a CSV export is not currently supported.

    At this time, we don’t plan to implement additional functionality for this use case. However, we recognize that this feature could be valuable and may consider it for future roadmap discussions.

    I’d recommend using the available API and UI export options for now. Please feel free to check back in later, as we’ll provide updates if expanded reporting features become available.
