Need the ability to access data across multiple Units

Need the ability to access data across multiple Units.   Currently, when a user is logged in, they can only see one Unit at a time and have to continuosly switch back and forth between units.  There are two reasons they want visibility across multiple units.   First, there are a set of people that need the ability to perform tasks that span multiple units.   For example, auditing.  Second, they want visibility into all of the resources that a particular person has permissions.  They would like to be able to create custom dashboards that span multiple units.

The highest priority is to have cross-unit visibility. There are multiple reasons that they want/need multiple units. Most importantly, our SaaS SRE team is tell them that we can't fit their environment into a single Unit and the MUST split it up into multiple Units. Second, our security granularity is not good enough. For example, if I give a user the ability to create Events and to some extent Smart Alerts, then they can edit or delete anyone's Event or global smart alerts.

It would be nice to have cross tenant visibility as well. Given the scale of the environment, it is likely that we will put the customer's data into multiple regions. Therefore, they will need multiple tenants.

Mate', the reason that they need multiple Units is the sheer volume of data.  We can't fit the customer's environment into a single unit.   Performance team is recommending a minimum of 12 Units given the number of servers involved.

The only purpose of units is to have ingested data separated. If they need to have cross-visibility, than data from both sources should be sent to a single unit.
