In our environment, hazelcast spans take second place in total number of spans per day (about 150 million spans per day). We don't have some major benefit from those spans so we would like to exclude them in order to reduce ingestion and storage pressure. Also, all those hazelcast spans come from java applications.

Before we evaluate building Hazelcast-specific span filtering, could you help us understand which libraries/technologies are currently producing the highest span volume in your environment?
For Java, we already have filtering options for a few areas such as HTTP libraries, Kafka, DynamoDB, and Redis. We also support stack trace filtering, which can help reduce span payload size and backend storage usage, especially in self-hosted environments.
So it would be useful to confirm whether the ingestion/storage pressure is mainly coming from Hazelcast spans specifically, or whether some of it can already be reduced using the existing filtering options.
Could you share the top high-volume span types/libraries you are seeing, and whether Hazelcast is the main contributor?
