Enhance Host Process monitoring

We have identified several gaps in process monitoring capabilities when comparing IBM Instana with IBM Tivoli Monitoring. We would like to submit the following enhancement requests:

  1. Currently, process monitoring must be explicitly defined in the configuraiton file for Instana to monitor. If we want to monitor if a process is missing, it needs to be added into the configuration.yaml file otherwise, it will trigger alert and if that event is distributed to e.g. all  host, it'll trigger uncessary event.  This behaviour should be document better.    Also, please consider enabling more dynamic or auto-discovery-based process monitoring to reduce manual configuration and prevent excessive alerting.
  2. There is currently no way to montior process-level memory usage. We should have the abiltiy to define threshold and gerneate alerts for process memroy utilization before we get an Out of Memory condition. This will alow proactive remediation e.g. restarting the process before it crashes.
  3. Some built-in events, such as "Abnormal termination" does not provide sufficient context for troubleshooting.  For example, the originating host is not clearly identified (see attachment), this make it impossible to troubleshoot.
