The OTel agent on Windows should be installed to auto start in the same way as the host agent

The windows OTel collector is not configured with any auto start configuration. This means that when a host is rebooted the OTel collector stops reporting until someone goes to the box and manually starts the process.

    Hi Nick,

    We have added the Windows MSI to the latest IDOT release: https://github.com/instana/instana-otel-collector/releases/tag/v1.317.1

    The MSI installer creates a Windows Service by default, and we have verified the collector starts on boot and recovers after a host reboot, which addresses the requirement. Please test and confirm on your end. Documentation will be updated soon accordingly.

    Sorry, I didn't say before..
     This should be configured as a Service. Having a start script on the box that needs to be accessed manually is not a manageable option. Customers are saying they cannot use this for their enterprise
