Improve maintenance windows to see if more than one window is active for a specific resource.

Weeknight maintenance window

Saturday & Sunday whole days

 

Both these maintenance windows have the same scope. The problem occurs when one maintenance window expires and we get incidents created even though the other maintenance window is active. For example, every Monday at 00:00 we get incidents created since the weekend maintenance window expires however the weeknight maintenance window is active on the same resources since Sunday evening at 20.00. This creates unnecessary incidents in ServiceNow for us and the information I got from IBM support was that this is how Instana is designed to work it only evaluates one maintenance window at the time. What we would like is that an incident should be created after no maintenance windows are active on that specific resource and the condition is still true. I can’t combine these two maintenance windows to one either since I don’t see an option to set different times on different weekdays i.e. I want maintenance to be active from 20.00 to 05:00 on weeknights and active the whole day on Saturday and Sunday.
