Trace AWS Lambda for arbitrary function

Currently its expected that a Lambda function implements the interface com.amazonaws.services.lambda.runtime.RequestHandler to get traced. Because this interface is not needed, it should be possible to trace any Lambda function.

    @Yinchi Luo: You don't have to implement the interfaces as long as your handler function works according to the requirements given here: https://docs.aws.amazon.com/lambda/latest/dg/java-handler.html

    E.g. this is a valid Lambda:

    import com.amazonaws.services.lambda.runtime.Context;
    import com.amazonaws.services.lambda.runtime.events.SNSEvent;

    public class Hello {
    public void handleEvent(SNSEvent event, Context context) {
    // Process the event
    }
    }

    Thanks for reaching out.

    Could you let us know how you are writing lamda function without implementing that interface? Some code example will be helpful for us.
