Yes the feature is in implementation right now and we aim to release the feature in the coming weeks. We are close to completion with the implementation, we will let you know once we are done with implementation and testing.

We are planning to deliver this feature in Q2 / early Q3 2026 timeframe. We are currently evaluating the technical implementation.
Once we have the exact date on when the functionality will be delivered, i will update this idea once again.

Thank you for taking the time to provide your ideas to IBM. We truly value our relationship with you and appreciate your willingness to share details about your experience, your recommendations, and ideas.
Unfortunately after evaluating, we found that the current Grafana plugin will not be able to support template variables, and would need to re-implement the whole Grafana plugin. Re-implementation of the complete Grafana plugin is currently not under consideration.
