Monitior Kafka Broker Certificate Validity

we are very happy with your Kafka Monitoring solution. There is one per broker metric which we believe is also worth monitoring. That is the validity of the SSL Certificate provided by the broker. If the certificates expire, the whole cluster stops working without Instana noticing.

We understand that this is might not be a trivial task, since Kafka doesn't seem to expose this information. (There is an open support case with Confluent regarding this issue.)

We would like to know if you can point out a strategy that allows us to monitor the certificate expiry in Instana. It would be sufficient if the Agent would check the Keystore regularly.

    We understand this is a generic requirement for all sensors that have certificates.

    The requirement is to test the ertificate has not expired and to trigger an event.

    Ideally to generate an event for certificates that will expire soon.
