    Hi Jens,

    We thank you so much for submitting an idea and, in doing this, we appreciate your support in improving Instana product.
    Unfortunately this requirement is not currently in our roadmap and will not be for the next 12/18 months.
    If this feature is still a priority for your Instana implementation at that time, please reopen it to bring up to our attention and we will reevaluate for its inclusion.

    I agree this is a great idea, and we have 2 concrete cards on our internal board, still. We will however not be able to implement this mid-term. The idea is not lost.

    Hi,

    can you please provide some additional information? Which resources should the agent check for? Some sensors/tracers already have pre-req checks and sent notifications. We also enhance the agent currently to validate required TLS versions and ability to bind to port 42699.
