Instana EKS Fargate support

Please support AWS EKS fargate.


Instana is the best solution for cloud native environment monitoring.

Considering it, EKS fargate need to be supported, because if user is focusing cloud native, then EKS fargate is in their target list.


BP NSSOL that is the Instana partner since Instana era had to gave up to propose Instana for some their big opportunities.

  • Large-scale B2C website project

  • Mobility as a Service construction project

  • Nomura Asset Management for EKS fargate

  • etc..

They are very positive for Instana but since they are focusing cloud native, then their propopsal couldn't select Instana sometimes because of EKS fargate.

(Nobuki HARA an IBM champion is strongly requesting the support )


These cases are only from NSSOL, I beleve there are lot of demands / opportunities exist.


And I found the similar FR in Instana support web (zendesk).

    The scope of 4Q23 deliverable was reduced. During Q2 we are extending coverage of additional technologies in EKS Fargate (Ruby, Python, Node, Go). While a complete generic solution for EKS on Fargate is also under development, we expect to be delivered by 3Q24.

    Product has started the discovery process on this one, and plan to start working on it in May.

    @Guest, this is Fargate on EKS. The link you shared is Fargate on ECS. 2 Different container technologies on AWS.

Can Instana support to monitor AWS fargate on EKS

We have some opportunities which their application is deploy as AWS fargate on EKS. We compete with Dynatrace, but Instana not support to monitor AWS fargate on EKS. So, we will lost those opportunities. Could Instana support to monitor AWS fargat...
