Correlate events with a change (recorded in SNOW, Remedy) OOTB

US FSM customers are requesting the ability to ingest change data and correlate events in Netcool / CP4WAIOps to that change. There are a variety of ways to represent this in our tools, but BofA / Morgan Stanley in particular are looking for a standardized approach or a suggestion of how this this capability might be fully productized in Watson AIOps in the future. They cited the common stat that about 80% of their incidents are related to a change. BofA mentioned they are getting pressure because Big Panda is talking to other LoBs at BofA who are requesting this capability OOTB with an AIOps solution.

After meeting with SWAT / PM / Dev on 6/22/23, they suggested an approach to this use case using Impact. We can generate 2 synthetic alarms at the start and end of a change to correlate and map on the timeline for topology corresponding to each change. However, customers are looking for a way to do this with prebuilt connectors / ways to ingest the data without requiring custom code in Impact.

End to end impact assessment and correlation between an incident and a change
During an issue, monitoring alert triggers email via splunk, synthetics go red in Apica, anomalies are generated in AppDynamics, an incident gets created in ServiceNow.
We will require the tool to test positive and negative scenarios where an incident from ServiceNow was caused by a change or not by utilizing data from below tools.
Expected Results: Tool concludes the incident was caused by a change, points to the change ID and helps on probable root cause.
