Case TS015515700 - MTTRapd probe - SNMP V3 credentials issue - SHA512 support

In UAT/Dev we have come across three devices which are using SHA512 as SNMP V3 credentials

As of now, MTTrapd probe we have at is not supporting SHA512 and we have opened a PMR for this issue.

Below is the response in PMR

The details for the mttrapd, conf file is discussed here.

https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/cloud-paks/cloud-pak-aiops/4.1.2?topic=support-adding-new-users

If the SNMPv3 trap sender can send SHA256, then this entry should work:

createUser -e 80001F8880D15F775811508365 watsonusr SHA256 W4t5onu5r AES128 W4t5onu5r

As Phil mentioned, the libraries used by the MTTrapd probe support SHA512 and TLS, however, neither have yet been implemented in the probe.

and require an enhancement request to be added.
