In order to limit the action of a tool to the event shown in an event list / event viewer it would be great to have the filter name or even better the filter SQL as runtime parameter available for SQL tools ( and it would be nice to have it available for all types of tools).
Example: the user selects an event and wants to acknowledge all events with the same Node field or Location field - but only limited to the events shown in the view. At the moment this is only possible if you do a quickfilter on Node or Location in the event viewer and then execute the tool.

From the description (...limit action of a tool to the event..), this seems more related to right-click menu. The terms seem to allude to the old Netcool Webgui (...filter SQL as runtime parameter). AIOps does not support "SQL" tools like Webgui. Please clarify whether this request is for IBM CP4AIOps or Netcool.
