IBM Netcool Omnibus Kafka Message Bus Probe to support protobuf message format parsing.

We are currently looking for an option to have an enhancement for Kafka message bus Probe, to be able to parse protobuf message format. 

 

We were implementing a new integration with the Nokia FSS system’s Kafka environment, using the Kafka message bus Probe. The following documentation is used for this implementation.

But Nokia FSS kafka uses protobuf message format. Here is the documentation for Nokia FSS systems:

Currently, we are unable to parse the messages from Nokia FSS. Since Nokia FSS Kafka systems do not support any other message format, there is additional development needed to be able to parse these messages. This situation holds the going on-live for this project since this equipment is critical and currently we don't have any monitoring for the environment.

Would you help us if it is possible to have such an enhancement for this Probe, to be able to parse the message format that Nokia FSS Kafka systems currently have?
