Extend AIOPS Vmware VCenter Observer to support merging of VM resources with VM resources coming from Instana Observer

Currently VMware vCenter Observer build the VM resource in AIOPS/Toplogy Manager where its name property is set to a value that we can not use to merge the same VM resource observed and populated in Topology manager by Instana Observer.

Hence we need to extend VMware vCenter observer to return following additional data related to VM ( seen in API response ) as new additional properties of VM resource in AIOPs.

So we can later merge VMware vCenter observed VM resource with Instana observer VM resource.

vcenter vm identity: info

The info structure contains information about the identity of a virtual machine. This structure was added in vSphere API 6.7.1.

VirtualCenter-specific 128-bit UUID of a virtual machine, represented as a hexademical string. This identifier is used by Virtual



I have discussed about this issue with Sravan Mopidevi and he is fully aware about what enhancement needs be done in Observer. We are in critical phase of POC with Customer ( Tamkeen ) and looking for this fix as soon as possible to close the POC on positive note to pave the path for Production level deployment.
