Clicking on an html field in alert view opens the URL directly

Our customer needs an efficient way for opening a ServiceNow ticket from their ServiceNow html field in their custom CP4AIOps view. Currently, only using a mouse with special buttons (3rd middle button) or opening the custom menu, provide with the opening of a URL. Customer is used to that easy interaction in their current solution. IT Ops do not have such a mouse. So they cannot use this link, or more generaly any html links. The link field of the model cannot be used because it cannot fit all needed information.

    For clarity to readers:

    • details.TicketNumber contains <a href="">Link</a>


    • When user adds this custom property to a View in the UI, and sets it to HTML field, the link is not clickable.

      • Ctrl+Click does not open the link

      • It is not possible to right-click the link to open in new tab etc.

      • The link can only be opened from the UI if the user has a middle mouse button (or similar).

    • Desired behaviour: Links should behave in line with general web browser conventions i.e. user can right-click the link, or can ctrl+click the link.

    Thanks for submitting this and for the extra context. I have been able to replicate this and I've given the details to our dev team to work on fixing. You can expect it will be included in the next release or so.

    waiting for:

    • the column definition in the custom view

    • and an associated value in an alert

    • and whether hovering over the link triggers the html link

    from the customer.
