Topology-Driven Alarm Enrichment

The “Topology-Driven Alarm Enrichment (TDAE)” proposal introduces a native mechanism within IBM Cloud Pak for AIOps to enrich alarms directly using topology data, eliminating the need for manual enrichment rules or external Impact policies. The system automatically correlates incoming events with their corresponding nodes or services in the topology graph and adds key contextual attributes (such as service, owner, criticality, SLA, runbook URL, etc.) in real time. This approach significantly reduces latency and operational overhead while improving consistency and maintainability. By leveraging topology as the single source of truth, TDAE enables faster, more accurate, and more efficient event management and incident resolution.
