Dashboard to Track User Activity and Adoption Metrics on AIOps Platform

To enhance visibility into user engagement and adoption of the AIOps platform, it is essential to implement a dashboard with in AIOps that tracks key performance indicators (KPIs) related to user activity. This will support data-driven decisions for platform improvements and demonstrate the value addition of AIOps adoption.

Requested KPIs:

Number of Active Logged-In Users per Session:

  • Track the count of users actively logged into the platform during each session.

Page Access Metrics:

  • Monitor the number of users accessing key pages (e.g., Resource Management, Automation Policies, Alerts, Filters, Views, Runbooks, Custom Dashboards, Topology Templates etc) on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.

User Contribution Metrics:

  • Identify top users contributing to template and policy creation or modification.

Additional Recommended Metrics:

Session Duration:

  • Measure the average time users spend on the AIOps platform per session.

Feature Adoption Rate:

  • Track usage frequency of newly introduced features or modules.

Action Breakdown:

  • Categorize user actions (e.g., view, create, modify, delete) for templates, filters, views, custom dashboards, runbooks and policies.
