Omnibus needs to move away from Java 8 just like Impact has to the newer Semeru Runtime versions

IBM has already modernized Netcool Impact by adopting newer IBM Semeru Runtime releases, gaining improved security posture, performance, and long‑term platform viability. Netcool/OMNIbus, as a core component of the Netcool suite and a mission‑critical event management platform, should follow the same modernization path. Maintaining legacy or near‑end‑of‑life Java runtimes in OMNIbus introduces unnecessary security risk, operational burden, and ecosystem misalignment that can be avoided by standardizing on newer Semeru Runtime versions.
