Sort Users and User Groups Alphabetically and Add Search Functionality in "Assign Owner" and "Assign User Group" Menus

We are requesting an enhancement to the Assign Owner and Assign User Group functionality in Alert Viewer.

Currently, when users right-click an alert and select Assign Owner or Assign User Group, the displayed list of users and user groups is not sorted alphabetically and does not provide a search/filter capability.

In environments with hundreds or thousands of users and groups, it becomes extremely difficult and time-consuming for operators to locate the appropriate user or group.

Current Behavior

When a user selects:

  • Assign Owner

  • Assign User Group

the system displays a list of users or groups:

  • Names are not sorted alphabetically.

  • No search or filtering option is available.

  • Users must manually scroll through the entire list to locate the desired user or group.

  • The larger the user base, the more difficult and time-consuming the selection process becomes.


Expected Behavior

When a user selects Assign Owner or Assign User Group:

  1. Users and groups should be displayed in alphabetical order (A-Z) by default.

  2. A search/filter box should be available.

  3. Users should be able to type part of a username, display name, email address, or group name to quickly locate the desired entry.

  4. Search results should dynamically filter as the user types.
