MessageBus probe - Support API Token/Key method for authentication

The IBM Netcool MessageBus Probe currently supports Basic Authentication for securing inbound API/Webhook connections. While functional, Basic Authentication presents several operational and security challenges, particularly in multi-tenant and enterprise environments where credentials may need to be shared among multiple integrations. Shared usernames and passwords increase the risk of credential exposure, complicate credential rotation, and make it difficult to track or revoke access at an individual integration level.

We request the addition of modern API-based authentication mechanisms, such as OAuth 2.0 Client Credentials, Bearer Tokens, or API Keys. Token-based authentication would provide significant security improvements, including:

• Elimination of shared static credentials across multiple integrations.
• Support for short-lived, revocable credentials that reduce the impact of credential compromise.
• Granular access control and per-client authorization.
• Improved auditability and traceability of API consumers.
• Alignment with modern enterprise security standards and Zero Trust authentication models.
• Simplified credential lifecycle management, including token rotation without service disruption.

This enhancement would improve the security posture of Netcool deployments and facilitate integration with modern monitoring, observability, and cloud-native platforms that commonly rely on OAuth or API token authentication.
