New function in Impact for dealing with special characters
As suggested in case, we would like to suggest creating new function for handling special characters. In rules file for probe exists similar function called printable().
In situation when event need to be updated through Impact policy and event contain some special character, event cannot be updated and Impact Self Monitoring generated event like: Failed to execute query on the Primary Server for the DataSource.
This situation we noticed in 2 different situation: 1. Using SNMPGetAction() function and for result we get some string which contain some special character. After that event cannot be updated with this string Impact Self Monitoring generated event like: Failed to execute query.
2. When event have some special character such as ' or " in Identifier, and that event need to be updated through some Impact policy, Impact is unable to do that, event cannot be updated and Impact Self Monitoring generated event like: Failed to execute query.
