Today it is necessary to use local storage support for DB2 while all other PODs use Portworx. Apparently this is due to performance limitations. I dont believe this is a valid solution as this adds more complexity to the system while removes features (one has to manually backup the db2 data when using local storage...)
It should be possible to use portworx with DB2. Otherwise IBM should use something other than DB2 for the backend.

As of AIOps 3.1.1 DB2 is not required https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/cloud-paks/cp-waiops/3.1.1?topic=requirements-storage-considerations
Sure. Im using Watson AIOPs 3.1.0 and the DB2 storage details I mentioned are in https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/cloud-paks/cp-waiops/3.1.0?topic=requirements-storage-considerations#local
I tried to install using only portworx and all goes fine, except that there are issues with some widgets when opening the EventManager portal. You can find more info on the case TS005755165 (see comment from Jun 7th about performance issues)
I hope this helps.
Hi Danilo can you let me know which version and deployment (AI Manager, Event Manager etc) you are working on. Im thinking it is Event Manager but would like to be sure.
