SELinux support for Netcool Omnibus on RHEL8

The default configuration of SELinux on RHEL8 is set to 'enforced'. During a Netcool Omnibus 8.1 installation on RHEL8, we noticed that the installation as such was fine, the ObjectServer and probes also were running. BUT, the nco start-up scripts were not running, or starting up the ProcessAgents. When we checked this with our Linux Admin, they said the SELinux config is "not creating any context for the /opt/IBM directory" due to which these scripts are not running.

The SELinux setting can be changed from 'enforced' to 'disabled' and that could help run the start-up scripts. BUT, that is not a solution because disabling SELinux would leave the server without security settings that RHEL recommends. Going forward, all servers are moving to RHEL8 and this scenario can occur for many more cases.

Please come up with a solution to make the Omnibus installation binaries compatible with RHEL8 (and newer) versions of SELinux so that they conform to the recommended OperatingSystem settings. Thanks!
