Enhancement in Netcool Impact to support OAuth 2.0

We have an increasing number of cases where we need to integrate to ServiceNow to create ticket and the new requirement is to use OAuth authentication to be able to connect to ServiceNow from Impact servers.

I know that the latest version of Netcool Impact support OAuth 2.0 and we started exploring how it works. Today our code creates xml strings and uses GetHttp commands using simple authentication. If we are able to get an oauth token without having to change the entire structure to use restful api commands to actually make the requests to SNOW, it would make it much simpler. This would require that we can get the token via separate command and then use Bearer in the authorization on the GetHhttp requests.

    IBM Support (Ramsey) has opened Doc APAR #IJ38325 which resolves this Idea. In support case TS008079647, the solution to this Idea is given. The following undocumented HttpProperty can be set in the policy, and then function GetHTTP() will behave as desired:

    HttpProperties=NewObject();

    HttpProperties.OauthDataSourceName="<OAuth Data Source Name>";

    Conducted session with IBM Impact L3 (Oskar). Determined the functionality is exists as an undocumented feature. IBM will modify the documentation to include use of "HttpProperties.OauthDataSourceName".
