Authentication with OMNIbus jconnect only supports passwords up to 30 characters

Customer is using the ObjectServer for authentication of users logging into WebGUI/DASH. The password for the users is coming over an LDAP-integration of the ObjectServer. For users that do not have OMNIbus client libraries and due to password size limitations with the JDBC jConnect library, any user with a password greater than 30 characters cannot exchange the full password with the ObjectServer and cannot log in to the server. To successfully log in, these user passwords must be no greater than 30 characters.

They wish to use this configuration but have longer passwords and don't want to change this towards direct LDAP-Authentication of DASH.

As already known and as documented (https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/netcoolomnibus/8.1?topic=authentication-objectserver), it is not possible to have passwords longer than 30 characters with the actual version of jConnect.

The customer is looking for a solution for this with their configuration.

The APAR "https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/apar/IJ26102" does not cover/resolve the 30 character limitation when using JConnect.

This should be reviewed to allow for longer password usage.
