Yes, I was referring to the basic capabilities. I wanted to ensure that you're already aware of it and find out whether it's providing value and if not, find out why. I understand that the suggestion to use time & count over threshold would still require 3 different policies, but perhaps you'd get some noise reduction.
The idea of having tiered severities in policies is one we've thought about but haven't prioritized. I believe having tiered policies would help reduce the number of Policies overall and simplify some aspects of managing them. This is something we'll consider adding to the product when we begin moving Alert Policies over to One UI. No commits on if or when, but we'll definitely consider it.
Vanja, our customers often find that using the "Count Over Threshold" or "Time Over Threshold" feature within our Alert Policies help them suppress flapping alerts. Have you tried either of those in your alert configuration, and if so, how successful was it?
If the ask is to be allowed tiered configurations for higher severities, I understand.
