Flexible data storage requirements for appliances

The data storage requirements for the PAS and DNC are rigid at present. While a customer may not have a requirement to archive metric and flow data for a period of 1 year, the ova files are pre configured with a set storage requirement. The storage requirements should be flexible enough to accommodate customers who have lesser storage requirement and do not have additional hardware at their disposal. For example, a vPAS20k has a storage requirement of 600 GB. Assuming the customer only has 300GB as the available storage and if the customer is happy with a 3 months of raw data retention, then there should be a provision to deploy the vpas20k with a 300GB storage and still be a supported deployment. I have a customer who has enough compute and memory but does not need and does not have enough storage of 16TBs. SevOne installation is blocked as additional storage is being procured by the customer (Tata consultancy services).
