Need an efficient feature, or path (e.g. API endpoint) to export Raw Flow data from SevOne for consumption over Kafka. SDB does this, but only for metrics. Attempts to use SevOne-act (as a way to work around the SDB limitation) result in long export times, would not scale, and would not be supported by IBM.

For SevOne customers using a Data Lake architecture, who want to store/process Raw Flow data, for downstream security or other analysis/anomaly detection would find this highly valuable.

    @Guest - What's the specific use cases for storing and querying raw flow in the data lake? Why isn't SevOne enough?

    Technical questions:

    • Why can't the customer mirror raw flow directly to their Kafka and query it that way? If it's because SevOne provides some enrichment, what enrichment to flow data do they value?

    • What are the customer's expectations around flow data volume and retention within the data lake and how does that compare to the decompressed size of raw NMS flow?

    • Is there confidence that they would be able to query raw data in a reasonable amount of time if it were exported into their data lake?
