Both the v2 and v3 API's require customer facing documentation that covers the rate limits for the various endpoints contained where in.

Information such a rate limits for updates to API is a critical oversight in the SevOne published documentation. Customer uses api for a significant portion of SevOne functionality for large updates e.g. device adds, interface description updates etc etc, such operations become a trial and error process when the user should have clear documentation for what to expect from the API. The current level of ambiguity is unacceptable.

Per the linked support ticket, the customer found that when using both the v2 and v3 api's he has had to rate limit his internal application's posts to SevOne via the api due to errors returned by the API to those tools(see the linked ticket for details) This rate limiting required additional coding on their end as well as trial and error to see what the max rate of API submissions the various endpoints would allow without erroring.

Clearly there are limits, and as there are no documentation for these limits the customer had to burn cycles testing something they should have been able to refer to documentation to see.

We're not aware of any such rate limiting on our APIs. What message(s) are you receiving back from the APIs?
