syslog - 8 level(s) of notification - Customizing the SevOne alert levels for the 8 levels of Syslog Message.

When a syslog message is received by SevOne, we decide what color alert it gets.  Currently there are default 8 levels of Syslog. 

Can those 8 colors be customized per NMS cluster instance? 

Like make it a whole new setting under "Cluster" > "cluster settings"?

Can we have default 16 colors? or the possibility of customizing the colors?

Can there be different colors used / configured for the same alert level? for instance if I have an "emergency" alert come in for different two products but I want one "emergency" alert red for one product's alert and the other "emergency" alert brown (new color) can that feature please be added?

Basically trying to add end user customization of Syslog.

    Hello,

     

    Yes I understand SevOne follows the "syslog" standard.  What if there was an option to "break from the standard" and do a custom syslog message colors per each cluster instance.  In an image I will attached, I have 2 "Emergency alerts" the "Threshold triggered" Emergency Alerts I would like to see a different color as they are Important but would be nice to differentiate from the other down alerts.

    Hi Brian, is it more that you could use more severity levels for alerts or do you have another use for other colors? We have closely modeled our alert severities to the syslog standard and it would take a lot to extend it further.
