This is an IBM Automation portal for Cloud Management, Technology Cost Management, Network Automation and AIOps products. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

Hi there, this is a good idea but we'd like to have a small discussion on what you think the ideal implementation is. We can certainly implement static thresholds on our Performance Metrics charts, but we worry that that might not be useful enough considering the dynamic nature of most environments. This would lead to a situation where you would have to manually set this static threshold across multiple different reports which could become tedious when you have many reports to manage.
Here are a couple ideas I would like to get your thoughts on:
We could have the chart threshold be set based on alert thresholds already configured in the system. This would require you to have alerting policies in place in SevOne.
We could have the chart threshold compare against the indicators baseline, this would require you to set a threshold that is based on some sort of delta from that baseline such as a standard deviation away.
The other thing to consider is that this would only be available on charts with a single indicator type on them. Given the dynamic nature of Data Insight this could lead to nuanced behavior where you could configure this threshold but we'd have to hide it because the chart has mixed data on it. A feature such as this would only work on charts with uniform data.
All that said, we are certainly considering this but we would really like your opinions on some of these nuances.
