Bulk User Assignment to Roles in Data Insight

Enable bulk assignment, reassignment, and removal of users from roles in Data Insight via the GUI, similar to NMS 

A typical Data Insight installation includes multiple users who share the same set of permissions, grouped under a common role. Currently, assigning a role to users in Data Insight requires assigning the role individually to each user, which is time-consuming and inefficient for large user bases.Data Insight should provide a GUI-based capability to perform bulk user management for roles, similar to the functionality already available in NMS. Specifically, for any given role, administrators should be able to:

  • Select and assign multiple users to the role in a single action
  • Move multiple users from one role to another
  • Remove multiple users from a role at once
