"Di Device Summary" Customize or Disable

The "Device Summary" option works fine in a "small environment". When there are thousands of devices / thousands of objects for a device this functionality is incredibly painful. Either it should be able to be customized or disabled completely. For numerous "large" devices where the respective device is selected, it just returns an Error due to the sheer volume it is trying to report on.

To clarify, I'm not saying that the Errors that Mark saw in his use case are for memory exhaustion, but if he's reporting at high scale then it's highly probable that they are.

Here's a possibly relevant comment that I made on this topic just today: https://jsw.ibm.com/browse/S1NPM-115079?focusedId=29440154&page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel#comment-29440154

We should consider doing all device summaries as downsampled to reduce the number of datapoints sent back to the browser to help prevent the UI from exhausting memory.
Additionally: "Error" is all the user saw, but the dev tools tell us that the error is related to memory exhaustion in the browser. We should provide a more actionable error like: "Error - browser memory exhaustion. Try reducing the timespan or closing other browser tabs before retrying."

There might be low hanging fruit in addressing these 2 things.

Hi Mark, this page should progressively load and handle any scale. Have you worked with support on this? I believe this should be considered a defect.
