Add Traceroute Capability to SevOne Data Insight GUI

Description

Customers are requesting the ability to perform a traceroute directly from within the SevOne Data Insight (DI) interface, similar to the functionality currently available in the SevOne NMS UI (e.g., alongside SNMP Walk tools).

Today, Data Insight serves as the primary interface for many users due to its modern dashboards and accessibility. However, when troubleshooting network issues, users must switch back to the NMS UI to execute basic diagnostic tools such as traceroute.

Proposed Enhancement

Introduce an integrated Traceroute tool within Data Insight, providing:

  • A simple input field to specify a target device (IP/hostname)
  • Execution of traceroute from the SevOne system
  • Clear display of hop-by-hop results
  • Optional integration into dashboards or contextual device views

Suggested User Experience

  • Similar to the SNMP Walk workflow in NMS, but modernized within DI
  • Accessible from:
    • Device dashboards
    • Context menus (right-click / action panel)
