Currently Sevone lacking many of the fault monitoring features as follows. 

> policy should allow multiple plugin metrics for better configuration:  If a device is down , ideally it should not trigger 2 alarms , Now sevone policy it will trigger 2 alarms one for ICMP and another for SNMP. So in the single policy it should allow multiple plugins to create combination of probabilities to avoid this duplicate alerting.  Today it wont allow. 

> suppress downstream alerts : If a site having 50 alerts and the upstream device down , Sevone will trigger 50 Device down alarms. This is not something  a modern monitoring tool will do. It should have the ability to understand rest of the 49 alerts are triggered due the upstream device is down (built in mechanism of identifying the root cause of the issue ) , it looks feasible as Sevone knows the topology of the network.

> Connected interface monitoring :  Since sevone knows the topology of a network , like how the devices are interconnected . Sevone should have some feature to monitor these interconnected interfaces . Now we have to create a group with port description filter to apply this port monitoring . But for many of the userports doesn't have any proper description cause this monitoring not accurate.

> Group creation search should support negative condition too : Currently it will work with positive search only. 

If I want to create group which doesn't contain any particular keyword , this is not feasible. 

> Topology quick link  in device manager page : During t-shooting it's always required to see the neighbour device condition for a site . Currently there are no quick view in NMS . It will be benifiel if it added quick view in Device manager page.

> Time over Threshold window increase > 2hrs: There are requirements from Client to increase this time window for more than 2hrs.
