A Read-Only user, similar to the Observer user type in TargetProcess.
The key difference here, is the Read Only user only has access to data, where they are given access to.
Preferably, this becomes a User Type, making a touchless setup possible for this user.
A setup flow could be:
- User requests access to TargetProcess, but has no need to edit data. (Preferably, this user can still be used in solutions such as capacity management)
- User is granted the Read Only user type.
- User logs in, in TargetProcess. Therefore, the user is created in Frontdoor using Just In Time provisioning, with the Read Only role assigned. After that, the user is created in TargetProcess.
- The TargetProcess Administrator is able to define required permissions to data using team assignments, or by adding the user to projects. (as would be done with a general user).
