Roadmap colour encoding for entity states periods

See this idea on ideas.ibm.com

If we could have a possibility to include in the roamap the period of time when entity was in e certain state (for example hold/in progress etc) it would enhance a visibility for the entities within it.

This was my suggestion originally.  Currently color-coding applies to the entire span of time in a roadmap.  I was looking for a visual way to distinguish states over time.  In essence, to see the information that is conveyed in the flow tab in detailed views.  In particular, I asked for a  special kind of state: just as there are initial states, planned states and final states, I wanted to have a Hold state, when no work was progressing, which could be visualized uniquely on a roadmap.  Ideally, I'd like not just a different color - but perhaps a line rather than a bar.  We have use cases for projects where the project was started but then put on hold - in a roadmap, it currently appears that these use cases are ongoing for long periods, when in fact, they have been paused.
